Our
History:
SPRINGHILL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH membership voted in
October, 2004, to pray for,and work towards, the beginning of a Christian
school. The church began to collect money by having a School March after
Sunday School each Sunday. The offerings grew and grew. Then in May, 2007,
the church stepped out on faith and made plans to begin a Christian
School. The Church appointed Mrs. Sarah Gladden as Administrator and Mrs.
Debbie Spease as Supervisor. The first bell rang on September 4, 2007. Our
first year, we had the privilege of schooling seven children, second
through eighth grades. In 2010 we currently have a enrollment of 31
students and are looking forward to continuing to grow our enrollment as
the Lord leads more familes to ensure their children a Christian
education.
The students will be using the Acclelerated Christian Education curriculum
(A.C.E). Classes are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. We will be open Tuesday
through Friday. Our School Council members are as follows:
Pastor Sean Kallner
Bro.Leonard Gladden
Bro. Rick Clark
Sis. Sarah Gladden
Sis. Debbie Spease
A school report will be given at each church business meeting to keep the
church informed of the progress of the school.
Each August, we will conduct an Orientation for parents, and during the
first part of August we will be doing Diagnostic Testing for all new
students. in late August, we will host an Open House. We welcome the
community, parents, church members, students and teachers. The School Of
Hope has adopted Psalms 46:10 for our theme which stated "Be still, and
know that I am God."
